An Old Fashion Christmas (2021)

This photo was taken inside U.G. White Hardware Store. The store is an eclectic mix of cards, candies, and candles and stuff you never thought you’d find in a hardware store. It is located on the town square in Athens, Alabama, which is a 21st Century slice of Americana.

Farewell Charlemagne (2018)

These steps once led to an almost magical place, kind of like Narnia except filled with bins of vintage vinyl albums and wall posters of musical greats from the 60s and 70s and colorful postcards of 19th Century Santas. Sadly, after 42 years of operation, it closed forever shortly after this photo was taken.

Fort Morgan (2018)

This is one of my most requested photographs and one of my personal favorites. It was taken inside historic Fort Morgan on Alabama’s Gulf Coast. http://www.fort-morgan.org/history/

Pileated Woodpecker (2021)

Beauty is all around if we take the time to look. This beautiful bird was literally down the street from my home. With the extinction of the Ivory-Billed Woodpecker, the Pileated Woodpecker is now the largest in North American, reaching up to 18 inches in length. This one was a only about nine inches but was still an imposing and beautiful sight.
